Our residents tell us they are
confident in the Regency staff and surroundings. They feel like
they are being treated as part of the FAMILY, and that they can
be as comfortable as they were in their own home. We work to ensure
that everything from the residents rooms to the sofa's in the living
room help them feel relaxed and confident in their surroundings.
Residents are welcome to be as independent as they choose. Professionally
trained staff are available when assistance is required for anything
from bathing and dressing to medication supervision and scheduled
transportation. |

breakfast this morning, Mary?" "Josie, how did the painting
class go today?" "David, it's time for us to take your
cat, Noel, to the vet." "Janette, will you be joining
us at social hour?" Take a look at the Regency for yourself.
What do you see? Maybe more important, what do you hear? Sure, you'll
notice that the Regency looks different from most other retirement
and assisted living centers. The smells from the kitchen lure you
to the dining room. Three home-style meals are lovingly prepared
daily. Delia didn't feel like coming to the dining room, so lunch
was delivered to her room. The baked goods, rolls, cakes, and pies
are baked fresh in our kitchen. Thelma requires a special low-sugar
diet. No problem. |

A worry for most people in moving
to retirement and assisted living is the possibility of losing their
independence. Will they still have their voice? Most residents discover
that they have even more independence. One of our residents was
relieved that she no longer had to grocery shop. Not having to worry
about meal preparation, she has more time to knit. The key to the
fear of loss of independence is rapidly dispelled by the Regency's
caring, responsive staff. When a Regency resident asks for information
or assistance, they receive it. The Regency staff is selected because
they listen. They listen because they care. |
